The Master Key

All of life is a "mere breath," so says Ecclesiastes, one of the most controversial of the biblical books.  In the second part of his summer series on this book, Fr. Allen looks at how Solomon shows that our pursuit of wealth, accomplishment, pleasure and joy all fall flat when we face the brevity of life.  What brings our lives and the desires we have into clearer and more helpful focus is connecting to the God who gives us life and desire in the first place.  But reading Solomon's bleak assessment is not meant to lead to pessimism but move us in the direction of the "master key"....
